Description:           I was a Founder Member of the Photonic Systems and NanoOptics Research Group in 2012. At present, I am the Head of the group with the objective of increasing the consolidation level in S.N.I.-CONACYT and PRODEP of regular members as well as establishing a collaboration network. The aim of this research group is to study a wide range of novel devices, materials and integrated systems. This includes the creation and characterization of optical fiber nanowires, laser systems, waveguide for photonic devices. Besides, we analyze, simulate, design and implement chaotic systems with engineering applications. We also develop mechatronics systems and optics instrumentation.
Achievements: 25 Thesis, 17 research projects, 6 technological projects, 10 scientific journals (JCR indexed), 4 book chapters, 1 patent, 1 cooperation network, International cooperation with Greece, Italy and Spain.

Name:         Electronics
Affiliation:    SEP-PROMEP No. UPPUE-CA-3, October 2009-March 2012.
Head:                    Dr. Luis A. Sanchez-Gaspariano (UPPUE)
Members:     Dr. Luis A. Sanchez-Gaspariano (UPPUE), Dra. Virginia Camacho-Pernas (UPPUE), M.C. Fernando Gonzalez-Manzanilla (UPPUE)
Description:          I was the Head of the Electronics Research Group from october 2009 to march 2012. During my management duties, I achieve that this group was upgraded from a “Cuerpo Académico en Formación” to “Cuerpo Academico en Consolidación” by PROMEP. This group actually investigates electronic systems with applications in communications and green energy.
